There are growing concerns over Rashford's fitness despite only two rounds of Premier League matches being played. Rashford started in United's 1-0 win over Fulham and was given a chance in the 2-1 away defeat at Brighton, but he failed to finish a shot. Last season, he contributed just seven goals and three assists in 33 Premier League games.
Speaking about Rashford, Yorke said: "I believe that after being left out of the England squad and having a bad season, everyone wants him to come back with some fighting spirit and keep going, and Rashford is the only one who can pull himself out of the slump.
"You can bring the best coaches around him, but he has to have a strong desire to get back to where he was and everyone knows his talent and ability. But if he doesn't put in the effort, then he can't get back to where he was, he has to want it from his heart. I have defended Rashford many times but he doesn't seem happy at the moment. For whatever reason, he doesn't seem to enjoy his football as much as he used to."
