The Post: The United medical team contacted the England medical team to discuss Maguire's condition(YAJING)

During the international break, the United medical team was in contact with the England medical team to discuss Maguire's condition.

Maguire was absent from the squad for Euro 2024 earlier this summer and was recently recalled for England's games against Ireland and Finland.

Maguire spent much of the off-season recovering from a calf problem that prevented him from playing for United towards the end of last season and was a factor in his failure to make the European Championship squad. United's medical staff passed on these concerns to England staff before their recent Europa League match.

Maguire played 85 minutes in Dublin but was an unused substitute against Finland.
