According to Tenzi, Achraf has signed a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain a few days ago, and the contract will run until June 2029. While this happened a year and a half before his previous contract (June 2026) expired, it was not a surprise.
The two sides had already agreed a few weeks ago on the rough framework of the new contract, and on top of that, it was necessary for PSG to leave a spot on the calendar of the 26-year-old Moroccan defender and club director to sign the new contract. The new contract also comes with a pay rise clause that would make him one of the highest-paid players on the team, and now the news is just around the corner of an official announcement.
For months, the Parisian management have been taking steps to retain the player who became one of the captains within three years of joining from Inter. Since Mbappe's departure this summer, his status has even improved. PSG must fully renew his contract before certain suitors do, and without that signing, they will struggle to keep the defender next summer.
For Paris Saint-Germain, though, their contract renewal is far from over. Nuno Mendes (expiring June 2026) and Vitinha Ferreira (expiring June 2027) are both signed in the coming weeks, with negotiations between the club and the two Portuguese players nearing completion. The signings of Donnarumma (expires June 2026), Asensio (expires June 2026), Kimpembe (expires June 2026) and Arnau Turners (expires June 2026) are yet to be confirmed.
