Pasted Image    According to the Mirror, Arsenal have only cleared three players so far, while their plan is to clear seven players.
Only Smith-Rowe, Tavares and Lokunga have left the club so far, however, they have made it clear that they will sell four players, including Ramsdale, Nketia, Tierney and Nelson, but they have not left.
With David Raya and Carafiore signed for hefty transfer fees, and Merino needing £25m to join, some of those four players will have to leave if they are to make further acquisitions this summer.
Lokunga was the first of the seven players to leave, heading to Sevilla on a season-long loan. The Belgium player joined the Gunners for £17m in 2021 but has so far failed to perform so Arteta did not include him in his plans.
Portuguese defender Tavares also left on loan shortly after Loconga, after short spells with Marseille and Nottingham Forest, to join Serie A side Lazio.
The club's most significant transfer was Smith-Rowe, who joined Fulham for an initial fee of £27 million, which could eventually rise to £35 million. He was expected to do well at Arsenal, but unfortunately he has been plagued by injuries.
Ramsdale is also yet to confirm a move, with Newcastle showing the greatest interest. However, they were unwilling to pay the asking price of up to £50m.
The other is Tierney, who moved to Arsenal from Celtic for £25m in 2019 but has since been linked with a return to the club. With a transfer fee of just £10 million this summer, the left-back is likely to leave. Celtic might be interested in him, but they might not be able to afford his transfer fee and wages.
Young winger Nelson is the last player on Arteta's list of players for sale and has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs, but with a price tag of £20m, no formal offer has yet been received.
