Manchester United have opened preliminary talks with Burnley over the transfer of Sander Berg and the Red Devils are understanding the terms of the deal, Sky Sports reported on August 8.
Sky Sports understands Begg wants to join Manchester United, where he currently has three years left on his contract. Meanwhile, United are also in dialogue with Monaco, who are also interested in Yosef Fofana. Fofana has one year left on his current contract and Monaco are willing to sell him for cash.
AC Milan were also previously interested in Fofana, but their interest has now cooled after being unable to reach an agreement with Monaco.
United's interest in Ugarte has also cooled due to a huge gap between them and Paris over the player's transfer fee. United could still return to the negotiating table with Paris, but that would depend on their willingness to reduce their asking price.
Palmeiras' Richard Rios is still on United's radar, but his transfer fee may be too high. Another option is Fiorentina's Amrabat, who was on loan to Manchester United last season.
Ideally, United would like to sell to free up squad space and increase their transfer budget. As things stand, Fulham will not pursue McTominay again, while Galatasaray, who are also interested in him, have not come close to Manchester United's asking price. In addition, Saudi interest in Casemiro has cooled.
