According to TBR Football, one of the main issues Liverpool and Salah have faced in negotiating a new contract is the length of the deal. The two sides are no closer to an agreement at the moment, which is one of the reasons Liverpool have yet to offer a formal contract.
According to TBR Football, Salah would ideally like to be offered a three-year contract or a two-year plus one-year extension option if he agrees to stay.
However, with Salah earning more than £350,000 a week, Fenway Sports Group are concerned about the length of the New Deal.
Fenway Sports Group want Salah to stay and have made that clear to him and those close to them. Although Salah looks to be back to his best form this season, given his age, Fenway Sports Group is concerned that he may have a dip in form in the future.
Salah's team continue to be linked with Liverpool, but other teams are interested in him, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with him, but the Saudi side is still the most keen to move him.
