Sacchi: Likes Barca's philosophy Yamal is very good but it's too early to compare him to Messi [jiayu]


Live on March 25, in an interview with "World Sport", the legendary Italian coach Arrigo Sacchi talked about some of the situation of Barcelona this season. He said Barcelona played well and he enjoyed watching them play.

You have seen Barcelona's style of football this season, do you know there has been a lot of discussion about Barca's style being similar to your philosophy?

Saki: "Yes, I know."

No matter who the opponent is, Barcelona's defensive style is very aggressive, what do you think of all that they have done?

Sacchi: "Actually, Barcelona have a very good team, they play very well and I really enjoy watching them play."

Your philosophy is still relevant in football today, even though almost 40 years have passed. What is the secret of the Milan team you coached so well?

Sacchi: "We try to win a lot, we have a very good team, we have players who can play a good game. In that Milan team, everything started with the strikers, who always fought hard and put pressure on the defence. Behind the strikers, the midfielders also do their job, allowing the defenders to push forward. That Milan team won a lot and we controlled the game."

In that AC Milan team, Baresi was the commander of the defence, Tassotti, Costacurta and Maldini formed a perfect partnership. At Barca, there are veteran centre-backs like Inigo Martinez, 33, and youngsters like Kubasi, 18. What do you think?

Sacchi: "I really admire Kubasi, Barcelona have a very young group of players and I like their philosophy of football. They are playing very good football and sometimes you can see that they are going to make mistakes that are common at this age because they are young, but these players are only going to improve."
