Live on February 25, according to British media "METRO" reported that Ferdinand talked about B fee in an interview in the podcast.
Rio Ferdinand said Fee was treated with great disrespect by Premier League fans and said United behaved like a Championship-level team when Fee was not present. United are currently going through a slump and are 15th in the Premier League table following their draw with Everton. Fee has again been a beacon of light during a turbulent few months for United, scoring 10 goals and 12 assists in 38 appearances so far this season. The 30-year-old took over the captain's armband at United in 2023.
However, he has been the target of harsh criticism when it comes to disappointing results and matches against big teams, with fans questioning his negative body language and lack of positional discipline. Speaking on the podcast, Ferdinand spoke out in support of Fey, who he believes has shown remarkable consistency since joining United.
Speaking about the B fee, Ferdinand said: "The B fee is treated with a lot of disrespect. Everyone was talking about him not being captain material and trying to find that negative thing about him in the game. Since joining United, Fee contributed 28 goals and 18 assists in his first season, he contributed 10 goals and 13 assists in his second season, 14 goals and 13 assists in his third season, and he has 12 assists this season. That means one thing to me and that is stability and that is what the B fee has brought to Manchester United.
