Rent to buy Chelsea to bring in Manchester United striker Sancho[suchunfei]

  London (AFP) - Before the summer transfer window closes, 'Blues' Chelsea and' Reds' Man Utd have agreed a rent-to-buy deal for England striker Sancho on Friday (August 30).

  The 24-year-old England striker will join Chelsea on loan from Manchester United, who will complete a buyout agreement next season. United acquired Sancho from Bundesliga club Dortmund in 2021 for a fee of £73 million (S $125 million), but the player has failed to impress since arriving at Old Trafford, forcing the Red Devils to sell cheaply to cut their losses. According to reports, Chelsea will buy out Sancho's contract for £25m next summer.

  After joining Manchester United, Sancho made 83 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring just 12 goals and winning only the League Cup in 2023.
