Post: Manchester United need to raise £2 billion for new stadium or sell naming rights[YANGTING]

According to the Post, United are now moving ahead with plans for a new stadium, with an official announcement possible before the end of the year.
United officials are currently on a pre-season tour of the United States, where they played Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles last weekend. The stadium, built by Arsenal and Los Angeles RAMS owner Stan Kroenke at a cost of around $5.5 billion, is one of many being studied by the new management of United's football division as they draw up a blueprint for a new stadium.
Manchester United want a stadium with a capacity of 100,000 to secure their status as the biggest club in the UK. If they can scrape together the £2 billion to fund the project, they could create the "Wembley of the North" that Ratcliffe wants.
But United simply do not currently have the £2 billion needed to build a new stadium, and the club insist they are not looking for a handout but believe they have an opportunity to make the new stadium a catalyst for development in the region through a public-private partnership.
United are also looking for private sector investment and sponsorship, which could include selling the naming rights to the Old Trafford stadium, although they will only do so after consultation with fans.
United have been in contact with the SoFi Stadium team for some time and have also looked into plans for a new stadium for the Chicago Cubs, studied the stadium during their tour of Australia and visited the Bernabeu, Wembley and Tottenham Stadium.
