Manchester United are set to renew the contract of Amad Diallo, according to the Manchester Evening News.

United are expected to offer Diallo, 22, a new contract in the coming months as the player enters his contract year with an extension clause until 2026.

If United are unable to agree a contract extension with the player before the New Year, they will activate the extension clause to prevent the player from leaving on a free transfer.

In the last nine games, Diallo has started seven times, and during the pre-season, he said he wanted to play until retirement at Manchester United.

In the summer, Diallo switched agencies and is now part of Leaders with Ganacho, who only signed a five-year contract extension with the club last year.
