The 22-year-old United striker has not scored in 16 games and the Manchester Evening News claims the manager is losing patience with him. One member of Ruben Amorim's coaching staff was reportedly particularly annoyed by Hoyllund's performance, lambstering his slump in the 1-0 defeat at Tottenham.

The reaction was in stark contrast to Hoylund's treatment against Brighton in September 2023, when he made his debut after a £72m move and fans, unhappy with Tunhag's early substitution, booed the change loudly.
