On January 25, Beijing time, Manchester City officially announced that Kyle Walker will join AC Milan on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season after receiving international approval for his transfer.
The 34-year-old England defender arrived at City from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2017.He then spent seven and a half seasons at the Etihad Stadium and made 319 appearances for the club during that time, scoring six goals while helping City to 17 major honours.Walker has been an integral part of a Manchester City team that has won six Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields as well as a Champions League, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup over the years.
Walker began the 2023/24 season as captain of the champions City side and helped Pep Guardiola's side to a fourth successive Premier League title, while he also led City to the European Super Cup and Club World Cup titles that season.
Walker has played 93 times for England so far, representing the Three Lions at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups and helping his country reach the finals of Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 - when he was vice-captain.
