Liverpool have yet to sign this summer after the La Liga star refused to join(YAING)

       Liverpool's bid for Martin Zubimendi has collapsed after the Spanish player rejected a move to Anfield.

Zubimendi was reluctant to leave Real Sociedad.

     Zubimendi's current plan is to stay with Real Sociedad. Previously, the 25-year-old was seen by Liverpool manager Arne Slott as the ideal candidate for a central midfield role in the team
     Zubimendi's release fee is £51 million. Liverpool are said to be interested in activating the clause in order to sign the European Cup winner. However, Real Sociedad coach Immanuel Alguacil personally held a separate meeting with Zubimendi to convince him to stay.

       A week after the Premier League season kicks off, Liverpool are likely to start the new season with their current midfield, which includes Ryan Gravenberg, Curtis Jones, Alexis McAllister, Dominic Sobossley and Koshi Endo. Trent Alexander-Arnold could also play in a midfield position as he did with England.

      Zubimendi is known for his excellent organizational skills. It is a position Slott is looking to strengthen following his appointment as Liverpool manager. The player, born in 1999, is believed to have similar skills to Rodri, one of City's standout stars in recent years and Euro 2024 player of the year.

       In the past season, Zubimendi helped Real Sociedad finish sixth in the league and reach the last 16 of the Champions League. He started regularly for the team, making 45 appearances in all competitions.

     Liverpool have yet to sign any new players since Slott took over. Liverpool, on the other hand, are already without Tiago Alcantara and Joel Matip.
