Tottenham Hotspur's 2-3 home defeat to Arsenal in last night's North London derby not only made their hopes of a fourth place finish even slimmer, but also left them to watch their arch-rivals Arsenal continue to lead the table.

Last night's game saw some controversial calls though, with Kulusevski undoubtedly the star of the show as he went down in the box with no indication from the referee, and immediately after Arsenal took advantage of the counter-attack to score, in addition to Van der Ven's goal being ruled out for offside.

In a post-match interview, Koulou said: "The gap between us and Arsenal is not that big, but they are more disciplined and mature, which is what we are lacking at the moment. They use corners to break through the goal, we are in the set-piece defense to lose points too easily, and in the set-piece defense of this game difficult moment, we have to show more tough to do.”

Postecoglou spoke after the game about the importance of players' mentality, willpower and mental strength, to which Koulou said, "It's true, not only in soccer but in life as well, the most important thing is the mentality, you have to be strong-willed no matter what time of the day or night, and obviously this Arsenal team has done that, and they're fighting for the Premier League title, whereas we need to continue to improve. While we have improved in other areas, we are still a little bit short in terms of mental strength."
