Jose: If Harland Vinicius wins the golden ball, they deserve it[SUCHUNFEI]

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola attends a press conference ahead of their Carling Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Rodri won the Golden Globe
Pep Guardiola: "What can I say? First of all, congratulations to him and his family and friends, this is amazing news for him and for all of us.
"The whole of Manchester City, our fans, we are very proud of him. A few years ago we would never have thought that a Manchester City player could win such a prestigious award. We are excited to share this honour with him and hopefully it will give him the motivation to recover even better next season and be with us again."
Real Madrid was not represented at the Golden Ball ceremony
Pep Guardiola: "It's up to them. If they want to congratulate, that's fine. If you don't want to, that's fine. At Manchester City, we don't judge the decisions of other clubs. Last season, for example, Haaland won the treble and scored more than 50 goals. I said to him 'you should be very happy just to be involved'. I said the same thing to Rhodri. If you can finish in the top two, three or four, it's very special. You have to be very satisfied.
Last season's Ballon d 'Or
Pep Guardiola: "Should Haaland have won last season? Yes. Should Messi win? Yes. It doesn't matter who wins. It means you and your teammates did something great that season."
Vinicius
Guardiola: "Should Vinicius get it? Maybe. It's voted on by journalists and, you know, it's not decided by an elite panel. This is people voting from all over the world, not just one country. There are different opinions and that's the beauty of football, isn't it?"
Rhodri
Pep Guardiola: "Rodri made a great speech. He talked about family, Manchester City and Spanish football. Spanish football has changed dramatically in the last decade - they have won the World Cup and the European Championship - and Spain have never been able to win this award before.
"Their importance over the last 10 or 15 years cannot be ignored. I remember one time we nominated three La Masia players. Xavi and Iniesta didn't win because Messi was too strong and no one could beat him - only Cristiano. He really is a monster and the father of monsters is Messi."
Manchester United sack Matteo Tunhauch
Guardiola: "I feel very sorry for him, it's one of the best jobs in football. Just us, not teachers or architects. I wish him all the best and he will come back stronger. If the results are not good enough, you will be fired. No one is exempt, including myself."
Vinicius failed to win the Golden Globe
Guardiola: "Of course, if Vinicius wins, it is fully deserved. So did Haaland last year. It's very open and there are more chances to win."
Carlo Ancelotti was voted the best manager
Pep Guardiola: "I congratulate Carlo Ancelotti on winning the best coach in the world, Gasperini or De La Fuente are also very qualified. Of course, they both deserve it, but the people voted and Ancelotti deserves it as well."
Golden Globe Event
Pep Guardiola: "This event should be a happy occasion and people have to accept the result. As a club, we are very pleased that Rodri is the first player from this club to receive this award. It's like winning the Premier League and the Champions League. We are very proud."
Haaland went to Sweden to watch a friend win the league
Guardiola: "He and his girlfriend Isabel are going to be parents soon and we only have a few days off. He is free to do what he wants. If he wants to go, so be it. And that's okay. He would be very happy for Rhodri."
A defensive midfielder wins the Ballon d 'Or
Pep Guardiola: "Why not? Centre-backs have won awards in the past. It's normal, strikers score goals and make amazing moves. Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are incredible, they are on another level. It's more competitive now. Everyone has a chance to win. This happens when people are allowed to vote and you have to accept the result, simple. Tomorrow is another game, another season - you try to do it again. In sports, you lose more times than you win. That teaches you a lot."
