Mark's injuries are heavy for all of us. He is now recovering and I want to send him all my blessings. It's not easy to suffer an injury like this, but we're confident he'll come back and get stronger.

The game against Valladolid came just after his injury and I knew it was my chance to take it if I wanted to get a big place at Barca. I knew it was going to be a big game for me. I tried to play at my best and luckily, it was a good game.

Was the Champions League game against Kimmich and Bayern Munich a test?

I was actually more calm in that game because I didn't think too much about my performance and thought that the team had to win because it was a big win for the Champions League standings. Also, given the quality of the opponents, because Barcelona have not been doing well in the last few games against Bayern, I and the whole team would love to change that.

What does it mean to play against Kimmich? Is it more of a joke in the dressing room or is he really your referencing?

It was just a joke in the dressing room and I didn't think much of it. The only thing I wanted was to win the game.

Earlier we talked about Bernal's injury. Let me ask a sharp question. Have you ever wondered what your trajectory would have been like if he hadn't been injured?

There is always something that changes everything, for better or for worse. At the end of the day you have to focus on the present moment and know how to take chances, even if sometimes those opportunities are not so pleasant, like Mark's injury, which makes us all sad.

We were calm about our performance and knew we needed to improve to win the game and the championship. That game was a great example of how high we can play against big teams, and I think everybody saw that.

Probably yes. For a Barça academy player, going to the Bernabeu to win 4-0 will always be special.
