Carragher: Salah will look at the goals scored by Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard as part of his motivation to renew his contract(YAJING)

Live, October 21 - Salah scored in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Chelsea. It was his 162nd Premier League goal and he is now ninth on the all-time Premier League scoring list, 13 behind Thierry Henry in seventh and 15 behind Frank Lampard in sixth.

In this regard, Carragher said that this will be one of the motivations for Salah to renew his contract with Liverpool. He said: "Salah will be looking at Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard and numbers like that are one of the reasons I think Salah will sign a new contract with Liverpool. I'm not calling him selfish."

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge said: "Any attacking player who wants to be the best striker is obsessed with things like this. There is no doubt he is in the top three of Liverpool's history and I think he wants to add something to that legacy. When I met him at Liverpool, I don't think he expected to be where he is today, he played unbelievable."
