Speaking after the 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, Manchester United manager Jerome Amorim said it was important that the players put in the effort.
Amorim said: "They tried, that's the point. We have a lot to improve but the players worked hard and that's the most important thing. They were thinking too much in the game, trying to copy everything we said in training, but we only finished two sessions."
"We could have won the game but Onana also made a fantastic save. It is always difficult to play in this league and we will improve in the future. They are intelligent and all they need is to keep the belief, believe and remember they are good players and enjoy the game and we will try to do that, provide information and try to help them."
"In my opinion it is important to know the players, to know what they like to do and what they can do, we need time to do that, today's result was not good, but in the future we will improve. Goalkeepers are important for a team and Onana was there when we needed him."
"He was good on the ball, he didn't play long balls all the time, he tried to organise the game and he played very well this game."
